Distribution Boards

Distribution Boards

Reliable, scalable power distribution built for performance and protection

Overview

Distribution Boards are the heart of safe and efficient electrical systems — and Chadwick designs them to perform in any environment. Whether for commercial fit-outs, industrial expansions, or infrastructure projects, our DBs are built for reliability, maintainability, and compliance.

We offer both standard and custom board configurations with quality switchgear, fault protection, clear labelling, and future expansion capacity. Our enclosures are designed to suit site-specific requirements — from compact wall-mounted units to large floor-standing boards.

Backed by 80 years of switchboard manufacturing expertise, our distribution boards offer outstanding safety, cable management, and long-term performance. Each board is fully tested and engineered to meet Australian standards.

FAQs

How long does it take to manufacture a switchboard?

Lead times vary depending on the complexity of your board and current production capacity. Standard boards can be completed in 2–4 weeks, while fully custom solutions may take 6–8 weeks. For urgent requirements, speak with our team — we’ll do our best to accommodate your timeline.

Do you offer site inspections or on-site switchboard modifications?

Yes. Our technicians regularly attend shutdowns and site visits for maintenance, upgrades, or compliance modifications. We also offer thermal imaging and grading studies as part of our service options.

Can Chadwick supply switchboards for projects outside NSW?

Absolutely. We supply to VIC, QLD, ACT, and other regions nationally. Freight, crating, and delivery options can be discussed during quoting to ensure safe and timely arrival.

Are your switchboards built to Australian standards?

Yes — our boards are engineered in alignment with AS/NZS 61439 standards and built in accordance with NESMA best practices. If you require project-specific compliance documentation, we’re happy to provide it.

Do you offer spare parts or support for non-Chadwick boards?

We do. Our team can help source or recommend compatible components and provide alternatives if your original parts are obsolete or discontinued.

Can I send through drawings or specs for a custom quote?

Yes — we encourage it. You can upload drawings directly through our quote request form or email them to [email protected]. Our estimators will get back to you promptly.
